Pictures: Hook Pins for Hanging Paintings
When you want to hang pictures on the wall, you should use a hook pin.
In this case, the owner usually doesn't charge you for damage to the walls when you move out.
Nails or screws sometimes rust and make a hole in the wall, and are considered damage, which will be deducted from your
security deposit when you move out.
Discretion of Garbage
As we all know, irresponsibility with garbage disposal is bad for the environment.
Garbage is treated with discretion in various parts of Japan, and requires taking out to a prescribed place on a prescribed
day. You can easily buy garbage bags of various sizes and strengths in supermarkets and convenience stores.
Garbage and trash are basically classified in 3 categories:
1. Burnable or Combustible waste
2. Noncombustible waste
3. Recyclables
Each kind of trash needs be put out on a different day designated for that particular type of trash, (depending on the region or part of the city in Japan).
Moreover, there are different days for different kinds of recyclables - cardboard, cans, bottles, and PET bottles etc.
Please be careful that the Bureau of Public Cleansing doesn't take the garbage without classifying it. Moreover, please put
it out at the prescribed place and time.
