Meguro Ward, Tokyo
Meguro is one of the 23 wards in Tokyo prefecture. Meguro Station is in Shinagawa ward and not actually in Meguro Meguro Ward is a residential
town that encloses Meguro, Oimachi, Denentoshi and Inokashira lines with the Tokyu Toyoko line serving as a major transfer line. Meguro
and Jiyugaoka are in the business districts. The ward office has moved to Nakameguro.
Meguro Ward is located in the southwestern part of Tokyo's 23 districts. To the north is Shibuya ward, to the east is Shinagawa
ward, to the west is Setagaya ward and to the south is Ota ward. Meguro ward covers 14.41 square kilometers with a perimeter of about 26 kilometers
with a total of 20 to 40 meters of table land. The Meguro River flows in the Northeastern part and the Nomi River flows in the southwest
part. There are many hills and slopes in the area.
Over 241,000 people now live in Meguro ward, and with its 12 foreign embassies it has become an international modern residential city.

Jiyuugaoka
About 10 minutes from Shibuya by express train on the Tokyu Toyoko Line or 23 minutes from Yokohama by express. It lies on the southwestern
edge of Meguro Ward. This is a refined town where one can shop peacefully. It has many unique shops and cafes lining the streets. It is thought
of as a fashionable trendy area by Tokyo's young people and is a very desirable place to live.
Naka-Meguro
The second station from Tokyu Toyoko Line from Shibuya Station. Good location near Shibuya, Ebisu, and Daikanyama. Naka-Meguro GT plaza
is closeby. The Naka-Meguro GT Plaza is adjacent to the station and there are several other restaurants and shops nearby, too. Stepping
off Yamanote dori side one enters a quiet residential area. In the spring, it attracts many people looking at the Cherry blossoms at
the Meguro riverside. It is also convenient for commuting as it is a starting station on the Hibiya Line.

Naka-Meguro GT Plaza
The Plaza is in front of Naka-Meguro station making it very convenient for commuters. There is a 25 story office building, a 15 story apartment
house with communal facilities such as a library, a hall, shops and restaurants. Throughout the plaza and surrounding the building there
is a variety of interesting art pieces.
Saregeo Church

From JR Meguro Station go out the west exit, get on the Tokyu bus to the Ookayama Elementary School then get off at the Saregeo church bus stop.

It has beautiful stained glass and wall paintings and a pipe organ. It is a wonderful, peaceful place.

Sculpture Museum of Modern Art
From JR Meguro Station it is a 3-minute walk to "Shizenenshita" bus stop, take the Tokyu bus towards Sangenjaya Station. Or from Yutenji
Station it is a 3-minute walk to "Shizenenshita" bus stop get on the Tokyu bus heading toward Meguro Station.

Komazawa Olympic Park
15-minute walk from Komazawa Daigaku Station on Tokyu Denentoshi Line. There is a cycling course of 3.2 kilometers and a children's
bicycle playground. This was the second hall of the Tokyo Olympics held in 1964. It is a wide park encompassing 41 hectares and hosts
a track and field sports place, ballpark, a pool, a tennis court, and various other sports facilities.

Komaba Park
Komaba-todai-mae Station on the Inokashira line. It is the widest in all of Tokyo's 23 wards boasting an area of four hectares.
You can often hear wild birds' singing creating an oasis in the city.
