Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo
"Chiyoda Ward", the center of Japan's capital Tokyo, has developed as a region that centers on politics, the economic function of
our country and the center of culture since the Edo period. It is also home to the Imperial Palace with its encompassing greenery.
The area is lined with the office buildings of Marunouchi, government and municipal offices in Kasumigaseki, and the secondhand bookshop
streets in Kanda's Jinbocho.
The Diet Building, the Metropolitan Police Department, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office, main offices of
other Public Offices and headquarters of various famous enterprises all reside in Chiyoda Ward.

Bancho - One to Six bancho.
This area is located between the JR Chuo line, Ichigaya Station and the Toei Shinjuku Line, Kudanshita Station. It lies south
of Yasukuni Avenue, Kojimachi Station of the Eidan Yurakucho Line, Hanzomon Station of the Eidan Hanzomon Line and by the
Uchibori Avenue on the West side of Imperial Palace. There is a TV station, several Embassies, and schools. They're
a lot of shrines and temples, not to mention Yasukuni Shrine, and Chidorigafuchi Park. A rich green environment creates a historic atmosphere.
Sightseeing Spots
Nijubashi
Nijubashi is a five-minute walk from Nijubashimae Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. It is an iron bridge spanning
the moat heading toward the Imperial Palace from the Palace's front gate.
National Diet
The National Diet building is a two-minute walk from Kokaigijido-Mae Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda- and Marunouchi lines. It
was completed in 1936, having spent 17 years under construction. The plenary session meeting place of The House of Councilors is to your right
as you face the front with the House of Representatives to your left. The National Diet Library lies on the north side of the capitol.
Marunouchi Building (Maru biru)
This is a one-minute walk from Tokyo Station's Jr Yamanote Line and the Tokyo Metro line. The Marunouchi Building opened
on September 6, 2002 as a large-scale complex of buildings. It boasts four underground floors, 37 above ground floors, totaling
about 180 meters in height. It is composed of three zones for a variety of events. There is the Office zone where the communication
infrastructure and security have been enhanced and the Commercial zone that consists of 140 stores.

 Tokyo Station
Yasukuni Shrine
A five-minute walk from Kudanshita Station on Tokyo Metro's Tozai, Hanzomon and Toei Shinjuku lines. About 2.5 million people are enshrined
here - from government forces during the Meiji Restoration to the war dead of World War II to the Shinto shrine here in Kudanshita. It is known for
its beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring, "Mitama festival" in summer and the yellow leaves of the ginkgo in autumn.
Yurakucho Marion
At Yurakucho Sta. on JR Yamanote Line and Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. It has a big stairwell that leads from the 1st floor in the underground
up to the 8th floor between Yurakucho Seibu Department store and Yurakucho Hankyu Department store. There are seven theaters like
"Nihon gekijo", Concert hall and restaurants. Yurakucho Marion is a new show place in Tokyo that overflows with vigor.
Nicholai-do (Holy Resurrection Cathedral)
A three-minute walk from Ochanomizu station on JR Chuo Line and Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line.
This is the main office of the Orthodox Church in Japan. You'll see the rotunda dome to your right when you go down the slope
from the "Seikyo exit" at the station.

Kanda Shrine
An eight-minute walk from Ochanomizu station on the JR Chuo Line and Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line. "Myojin of god"
moved here for the Edo castle expansion. It's famous for the "Kanda festival", one of the three largest festivals in Japan.

Museum of British Road Transport
A five-minute walk from Akihabara Station on the Hibiya line. A three-minute walk from Ogawacho station and Awajicho station
on the Toei Shinjuku and Marunouchi lines.
D51 is exhibited in front of the garden and the vehicles of the Shinkansen.
The Library has over 10,000 books related to traffic.

Akihabara "Electric Town"
All around Akihabara Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, JR Yamanote Line. Suehiro cho station on the Ginza Line.
There are over 500 electric shops selling all different kinds of electric goods. The area has developed into an unparalleled electronic town in the world.
Kanda Book Town
Around Jinbocho Station on the Hanzomon Line and Toei Shinjuku Line.
Over 150 bookstores selling new and second hand books are located on Yasukuni and Hakusan Avenue. The Second hand book festival
is held during the last week of October until the beginning of November.
Hibiya Shante
A one-minute walk from Hibiya Station on the Hibiya line.
This shopping building is a kind of Symbol of Hibiya.
There is a movie theater called the "Shante shine" in the annex building.

Nihon Budokan
A five-minute walk from Kudanshita station
This was originally built as a judo hall for the Tokyo Olympics in 1964 and has 15,000 seats.

Hibiya Station on the Hibiya line. A German style modern garden park encompassing a total area of 160,000 square meters created in 1903.
